Hunter Trials Times/Numbers

The Hunter Trials Times and Numbers can be downloaded below.

Please remember the following:

  • Print or write your number clearly and bring your own bib.
  • Trials will run strictly in numerical order.
  • Course walk from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday 11th September and from 8:30 am on Saturday.
  • Please ensure you park 5 meters apart.
  • All competitors and grooms need to have face masks.
  • All COVID 19 protocols to be followed.
  • Please arrive no more than approximately 1 hr before your start time and leave once they have competed.
  • Mel Doyle will be taking photos on the day and will have them for sale afterwards on his Facebook page.
  • All results will be posted Saturday night on our website and also on both The Island Hunt and The Island Hunt Pony Club’s Facebook pages.
  • Prizes and rosettes will be posted to the winners.
  • We look forward to seeing everyone on day.

at Frankfort Stud, Clough, Co. Wexford with thanks to the Kearney Family.

Running order:

Pre-Novice Pairs, Pre-Novice Singles,

Novice Pairs, Novice Singles,

Open Singles, Open Pairs.

There will also be a Mini class running all day over a separate course.

 Singles €20, Pairs €40, Minis €10.

All competitors must have their own number bibs and print own numbers.

Entries close on Thursday 10th September and numbers and times will be published on www.islandponyclub.com on Friday 11th September.

Island Hunt Pony Club One Day Event @ Frankfort Stud

Competitor Information

  • Times are now available on https://islandponyclub.com/
  • Course walk from 12.00 pm to 7pm on Friday 14th August and 7am to 9.30am on Saturday. Additional SJ course walk at 11.30am and 13.00pm on Saturday.
  • The field gate will be open at 7am on Saturday morning and not before, please ensure you park 5 meters apart
  • We are running an express format. All three phases must be completed in your XC gear, full tack inspection will be held before dressage, including your back protector and crash helmet. Ensure you have everything with you as you will not be allowed to return to your box.
  • Medical armband and number bib must be worn.
  • Please print the numbers to the maximum size on an A4 page.  If numbers are not legible we cannot score you.
  • We will operate a one-way system, once dressage is complete you will follow the route to show jumping and complete within 20 minutes, thereafter to cross country within 10 minutes. You will not be allowed to return to your box!
  • In order to keep the day running and in full compliance with social distancing we will strictly enforce dressage times & numerical order in showjumping and XC. If you miss your dressage time, we will not be able to accommodate you later.
  • All competitors must leave Frankfort Stud once they have competed
  • Queries may be WhatsApp’d on the day to Fleur Creed on 087 370 5743
  • Results will be posted to the website on Sunday
  • Contact Tracing must be completed by noon Friday 14th August. Admittance will only be granted to those that have completed the contact tracing on itsplainsailing.
  • One groom per competitor, vehicles with more than one will be turned away. (we need to adhere to the outdoor activity limit of 200 people on site). Anybody who has returned from a country not on the revised green list in the past 14 days should not attend.
  • Please adhere to IPC COVID-19 protocol.
  • There are no catering facilities on site, please bring your own refreshments

We are delighted to announce that our ODE for 2020 takes place back in the heartland of the Island Hunt Pony Club in Frankfort Stud, Gorey, Co. Wexford.

Entries will open online on Wednesday the 5th of August on http://www.itsplainsailing.com/club/island and close on Tuesday the 11th of August at 6pm.

VIRTUAL DRESSAGE LEAGUE – With List 1 Judge:MARK RUDDOCK

The final of the 4-week Virtual Dressage League took place on Monday the 15th of June. The competition was a tremendous success and lots of fun was had by everyone.

Many thanks to all participants (& ponies), parents, our chief organiser Lisa McBride and our judge Mark Ruddock for making this event so enjoyable.

Due to the success of our very first Virtual Dressage League, it has been decided to run another similar competition starting on Monday 22th June 2020.
